The Galileo New For 2006 152x1200 G-600
Refractor EQ Telescope has a massive 6″ (152mm) Achromatic Lens making it an
incredible planetary instrument with surprising deep sky capabilities. The G-600
is designed for serious star gazing in mind. The only thing larger than the
Galileo New For 2006 152x1200 Refractor EQ Telescope, is its ability to perform.
The G-600 Refractor EQ Telescope comes on a Heavy Duty German equatorial mount
with a built in Electronic Illuminated Polar Finder for obtaining a precision
polar alignment. Support comes via heavy duty pre-assembled steel tripod. The
fully Achromatic objective lens ensures clean, crisp light transmission, while
the 1200mm focal length gives you the power to reach farther into space than
every before. This Galileo Telescope's optical tube assembly is finished out
with a large 2″ format focus tube. Two 2″ to 1¼″ adapters are included, one for
the focus tube for straight through viewing and a second for the 2″ Star
Diagonal. The Galileo G-600 optical tube assembly features a 1200mm focal
length. The objective lens is a 152mm two element achromatic (color correct
crown & flint) air spaced objective lens. The tube of this new Galileo Refractor
EQ Telescope itself is aluminum, painted flat black internally, and fully
baffled for excellent visual and CCD imaging. The objective is fully
multi-coated and has a resolving power of .76 arc seconds. The optical tube
assembly is diffraction limited at λ4 (1/4 wave in Sodium light). The 2″ star
diagonal consists of a 45 Schmidt prism that is fully coated in Magnesium
Fluoride (refractive index: n = 1.38). Included with the G-600 are a 1¼″ 6.5mm
Plössl eyepiece, and a 1¼″ 20mm Plössl eyepiece. Both Plössl eyepieces are 4
element, fully color corrected eyepieces and have apparent fields of view of 52
degrees.
