The Galileo Reflector 1000x118 G-118DX German Equatorial Mount Telescope's mount features solid metal construction, setting circles and locking knobs in declination and right ascension, counter balance shaft and weights, deluxe latitude adjuster, and slow motion controls with detachable flex cables in both axis. A motor drive can also be attached for added tracking capability (motor drive sold separately). The Mount of this Galileo Reflector Telescope is attached to a very sturdy, fully adjustable, pre-assembled metal tripod with retractable rubber feet. The Galileo 1000x118 telescope attaches to the EQ mount via dove tail mounting system. The telescope's optical tube assembly is finished out with a large 2″ format focus tube. 2″ to 1¼″ adapter is included as well. The Galileo Reflectors 1000x118 G-118DX German Equatorial Mount Telescope optical tube assembly features a 1000mm focal length. The Primary mirror is a 118mm heavy duty mirror cell with push / pull collimation screws. The primary mirror is aluminized with Silicon Monoxide Quartz overcoat providing 92% reflectivity and a resolving power of .98 arc seconds. The secondary mirror of this Galileo Reflector Telescope has an obstruction of approximately 25% linear (approximately 6% of the total area). The optical tube assembly is diffraction limited at λ4 (1/4 wave in Sodium light). The finderscope is Galileo's Mars' Eye electronic Finderscope which helps by getting the observer behind the telescope without losing the surrounding field of view when targeting objects. Included with the G-118DX are a 1¼ 6mm eyepiece (52 degree apparent field of view), a 1¼ 20mm eyepiece (52 degree apparent field of view) and a 3 element 3x Barlow.
